Remarkable Quotes
“I love the game of football, so I always said it was awesome for me to watch someone I love,
play a sport that I love. So that was a big bonus for me watching Ray play in the league. And then - when it’s your son? Your Baby? It just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to see him follow his dreams.”
“I love this organization. We have women that have such giving hearts. They come out and work hard to give back. They’re on board. We’re just stand-up women that want to make a difference in our community and in each other’s lives.”

It's so true. I'll tell you. It's so true. It is a magic, and I was just talking to my son, Michael, you know, about Coach Brown, and he was telling me that, you know, here he is a young rookie and just walking past him in the hallway that you, Ray would just always grab them and has them up and just like they would joke around about things, but he always made felt, like a million bucks and he just like, you know, between Coach Brown and skip, he just had, like, it was just a really great memory of running into him. And every time I run into i asked me about Michael V, and I just... I just appreciate that. It's awesome.
Ashley Brown 00:04:37
Right.
Good. Good. That's awesome. That's great great story to hear.
Cynthia Zordich 00:04:40

Ashley Brown 00:05:27
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:05:27
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:05:28
I think it's it's it's such a great platform for all of this. So I wanna dive into this, ashley, I wanna dive into a little bit about
Ashley Brown 00:05:33
Alright.
Juliet Hahn 00:05:35
where you grew up and and be kind of, like a three folded question and, you know, just that we can kind of top line it, but where you grew up, you know, where you went to university, if you did and how you met Ray,
Ashley Brown 00:05:39
Okay.
Alright. So
I am a Midwestern girl. I grew up to Louis Missouri,
which was a great experience. I wouldn't have traded for anything in the world up
grew up. My dad was a dentist. My mom my parents met
had
historically
black
Louis Missouri where most doctor's back then had to go to
several hospitals
to do their residency.
And so my mother was a nurse
at one of the it was called homer G Phillips Hospital, which is a very historical hospital hospital a saint louis. And my dad was a dentist, and he was over the dental department. And so they met there, and that's where I grew up in Think louis Missouri.
Great time,
you know, very close in knit family. I have two brothers
one older one younger i'm in the middle they're both doctors.
Cynthia Zordich 00:06:41
Wow.
Ashley Brown 00:06:41
They both still live in Saint Louis so how would talking with my older brother last night, But we just got... And we talked maybe two hours so, have a great relationship, you know, grew up in a great family. Unfortunately, we lost our parents
lost our mom early on, but I've dad about twenty years ago in twenty years. We have my... My son will be twenty
on Monday, and my dad had died a couple of months after my son was born. So I can't believe it's been twenty years, but
Juliet Hahn 00:07:02
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:07:05
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:07:06
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:07:08
so, yes, grew up in saint Louis. With the college,
went to historically black College Howard University. That's where I started my college career,
education rather and
had some really wild, unfortunate things happened in me and Howard.
I had a wonderful
roommate
who had epilepsy. I didn't know it. And I came in and had a serious situation happened, and I ended up leaving the universe because
Juliet Hahn 00:07:29
Mhmm
Ashley Brown 00:07:36
Let's just say she's no longer... She was no longer there with us. So it was just a dramatic situation.
Juliet Hahn 00:07:39
Oh, sorry.
Cynthia Zordich 00:07:39
U.
Ashley Brown 00:07:42
And so, but it was, you know, I think it was kinda meant to be, like, I was at Howard for two years, and then I went home. My parents gave me one semester to figure out where I was going to college and and they said I could transfer one time. So my grandparents lived in memphis,
and I was really close to my mom's parents. So I just... I had never really
heard anything about miss Back was called Memphis State University, and now it's the university of message. So I ended up applying to the University of memphis.
And I went there and got my degree from the university to memphis. Lose that I know.
My husband had gone to Memphis,
freshman here of college
and transferred to Arkansas state,
his sophomore more years, So we were never there together.
But we ended up having a bunch of mutual friends, and that's how we met.
Juliet Hahn 00:08:30
Oh, funny.
Ashley Brown 00:08:32
And we actually met we actually met in Saint Louis. I was still in college. I was at the university memphis, and I came home when weekend my dad had three tickets
Juliet Hahn 00:08:32
Oh, I love that.
Ashley Brown 00:08:42
to my dad was a big sports person, and my brothers were not So my dad had three tickets to baseball cardinal,
and football cardinal. This is when the football partner now Arizona Car knows go figure.
We're in Saint Louis.
And Ray was drafted by the
Arizona card. I mean, the the Saint Louis Carlos. So he was in saint Louis plane, and I came home with school one weekend to go to a game with my parents
and met him
from a mutual friend. Actually, it was a former boyfriend.
Introduced us, and we were just friends for years. I mean, several years, we were just friends and he went on and got, you know, the cardinal moved from
Saint Louis, Arizona.
So he moved with them, and then he was traded plan b. To the Washington Red, and that's kinda where our history begins. But that's kinda How started of in Saint Louis just being friends and
day we met him him I wanna say it was a Thanksgiving day game, and my mother... He my mother asked him if he had any family in town he said no. So she invited trials for dinner.
On Thanksgiving.
Cynthia Zordich 00:09:47
That's a sweet.
Juliet Hahn 00:09:47
Isn't it... I mean, that's so...
Ashley Brown 00:09:47
Because That was pretty interesting.
Juliet Hahn 00:09:49
Yeah. And I love that you guys. And I'm sorry about your losses. I know that must have been really hard, especially when you... You know, when you first have your your child as well.
Ashley Brown 00:09:53
Oh.
Juliet Hahn 00:09:58
But the fact that you guys had so many
coincidences is is so interesting. And I love that's why I love stories.
Ashley Brown 00:10:01
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:10:04
Because those kind of things are what gets people excited, Those are kind of the things that people are like, oh my gosh. Like, your paths were supposed to me. And they kept skipping. It's almost like a movie. Right? You see those movies, the love stories and the people miss each other and you're like, no. I want them to be together.
Cynthia Zordich 00:10:05
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:10:05
Yes.
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:10:18
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:10:19
So I love
Ashley Brown 00:10:19
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:10:20
that that's how it was. I love that you guys had all of these kind of coincidences and then and then you met, and then
Ashley Brown 00:10:22
Yeah.
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:10:26
it started out. So how... And something they jump in if you would like to jump in as well, but now I'm just curious that you guys were young when Ray, you know, be became with was drafted.
So how was that being, you know, in the in your relationship as a young spouse young girlfriend
and having your, you know, partner playing in the Nfl.
Ashley Brown 00:10:46
So when we met, again,
we met, and we were just believe or not probably
five years. We were just really good friends. Like had no interest of dating.
So I got to know Ray Brown as a person and friend.
So when we did finally started dating, he was probably good...
Maybe hit the sixth year in the Nfl.
I knew him as a person. So
Cynthia Zordich 00:11:10
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:11:10
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:11:11
a lot a lot of his habits in ways I just knew was just him
because we were friends So we started a friendship. And even when we both moved to the Washington Dc the area,
in eighty nine, I believe, it was nineteen eighty nine.
We saw each other in Georgetown.
One day, I was in Georgetown
walking around with a group of girl in Saint Louis, he was Georgetown out on crutches. He had had a a surgery ed
we saw each other, and we all started hanging out together. So we hung out for month, and actually,
fun fact, our room roommate started dating first. So once our roommate started dating, his will roommate played for the ben Washington risk kids also,
and on my roommate with my long time best friend, and
so they started dating, and then after we we're forced to spend so much time together because of our roommate. You know, after some years, we just decided, you know, we had such a great friendship. I think we were both kinda
Juliet Hahn 00:12:06
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:12:11
not wanting to date in the beginning because we didn't wanna mess up the friendship.
Because the friendship was really cool. You know, we really had a great friendship, but
Juliet Hahn 00:12:15
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:12:19
we started dating in
ton history after that. You know, we've been married what going on twenty eight years So twenty seven years we've been married.
Juliet Hahn 00:12:26
Wow.
Cynthia Zordich 00:12:26
Okay.
Beautiful.
Juliet Hahn 00:12:28
That's amazing. Now the... The are the roommates still together?
Ashley Brown 00:12:29
Yeah. So...
No. No. They no. They they maybe were together a year. You know? You're two. They probably we're instrument on getting us together and then though they totally went their separate ways. The guy is married and
Cynthia Zordich 00:12:34
Yeah.
They weren't.
Juliet Hahn 00:12:37
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:12:39
Right.
That's happening.
Ashley Brown 00:12:44
the other
the the female, which is my really good friend. She's still heavily involved in our life. She's actually our our son godmother, so
Juliet Hahn 00:12:53
Oh, so nice. Oh, I love that.
Ashley Brown 00:12:53
Yeah. But they they they're not together. Yeah. So this... It's it's a wild story. I mean, I I sit down until the story. My kids say I had onto it also.
Juliet Hahn 00:13:03
Don't we all?
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:04
We often.
Ashley Brown 00:13:05
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:05
Now I wanted to back up a little bit and, you know, you were talking about movies and faith and crossing paths.
Ashley Brown 00:13:06
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:12
So this is kinda crazy that something that you and I knowing each other so well, I never knew this, but
Louis,
all the members of the saint louis team moved to Phoenix. And if you remember, it was the Phoenix cardinal,
Ashley Brown 00:13:21
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:27
for those two seasons,
Ashley Brown 00:13:27
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:29
which was only like boom. If you have Phoenix cardinal gear, that's very special because they changed it to arizona the carlos. So
Ashley Brown 00:13:33
It is.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:36
whenever
we you left Arizona,
plan b, and we came to Arizona,
and b,
So that very same year. So all... Like, we both... Both our husbands were coached under june selling.
Ashley Brown 00:13:43
Wow.
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:50
In which I didn't you love Gene following is he
Ashley Brown 00:13:53
See, I wasn't there, so I did... I... Ray and I were just friend. So I did... I did I never lived here.
Cynthia Zordich 00:13:55
you didn't? Okay. So
Ashley Brown 00:13:59
In Arizona with him. We just... Yes. Yes. But I totally know
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:01
Oh, okay.
He was so special.
Ashley Brown 00:14:04
Yes. Yes. I totally know a lot of people that were here.
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:05
So you weren't there.
That's great.
Juliet Hahn 00:14:07
And I've heard you guys talk about. I mean, something, I've heard you talk about such loving memories. I've okay with a couple of different people. Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:14:09
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:12
Oh, James Sewing is great.
But it's just funny to me when I look at, like, when I look at the roster and so... So many, those people became my best friends, and I'm sure, like, that Ray knew all those guys just as we did, and they were just like, you know, Derek,
Ashley Brown 00:14:20
Mhmm
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:25
you know. And, you know, yeah. I love it. I love all those guys and wolf.
Ashley Brown 00:14:25
Oh, yeah. They're still here.
And I was fun for the car.
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:30
Yeah.
So many good people. Yeah. Because I know that everybody that came that year,
Ashley Brown 00:14:31
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:35
they were sad, and they were missing Saint Louis. They're were like, we just when we are done, we're going back to saying Louis I I'll never forget that. I was like, wow. Everybody here just loves Saint Louis, and they all said that they would settle on pay Louis. The most of them settled in Arizona. But, you know...
Ashley Brown 00:14:37
Mhmm.
Yes.
Wow.
Wow.
Juliet Hahn 00:14:51
Because they. They fell love with time.
Ashley Brown 00:14:51
They did.
Like,
snow.
No
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:56
Right. Exact.
Ashley Brown 00:14:57
midwest
west goes. You know?
Cynthia Zordich 00:14:59
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:00
So I... And again, there's are some people that have just joined the show. So Erica and Valerie. I know, Darren and... Yeah, There's a couple mark have joined.
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:06
Hey, Valley Erica.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:09
And so welcome wherever you are
joining wine the five with Nfl thread here live on Fireside with our guest, Ashley Brown, and this is just so fun because if you have not heard the beginning, you have to go back because there is a love story, movie love story in the beginning, which is just so fun. So...
And I love since of the coincidence that you had to and the fact that you...
Ashley Brown 00:15:29
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:30
Michael played there. That's where you had all your babies. I mean, Arizona is definitely a special
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:34
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:34
place in all of your hearts. So the fact that it's Super Bowl gonna be there This year has to be really exciting.
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:40
Really is exciting.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:41
And not to jump not to jump ahead.
Ashley Brown 00:15:42
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:42
Yeah. I right not, just there's so much to talk about Right? Exactly. Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:15:43
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:15:45
Right now. So I'm gonna bring that back.
Ashley Brown 00:15:46
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:47
I you know, I would love to talk about, you know, your experience
Ashley Brown 00:15:47
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:15:51
as, you know, now here you are. No you're you're dating now you're an Nfl expel.
And starting your family. Can you tell us a little bit about that experience for you in terms of that whole, you know, moving around having the kids being that Nfl
Ashley Brown 00:16:03
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:16:05
spouse how would you have defined yourself?
Ashley Brown 00:16:07
Wow. So I... I feel like I
was so lucky coming into the Nfl.
And I don't know if it was lucky. It was just that we were with the race well, the team that I, you know, started taking race.
He was with the Washington Washington Red skin now Washington commanders.
Cynthia Zordich 00:16:24
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:16:25
But the women that were there, there was a couple of cute key women
who are now hall of fame lives
in particular Jewel Green and does the ray mom and
couple other ones,
Man,
of
event Coleman,
they were
veteran wise
of in the Nfl at that time.
And they welcomed me in as Raised girlfriend.
I wasn't a fiance.
I... You know, I was just... It's girlfriend.
And, you know, I met them at a charity event, and they started in fighting me to all their away gain parties back then, they met every Sunday for away games and had Party. And believe me, it was a serious party of couple other ones Tina Binder,
Cynthia Zordich 00:16:56
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:17:11
Michelle Sanders, They were just a phenomenal women. So the way they welcomed me in
and treated me in the beginning. And I used to say, I'm not his wife. I'm just girlfriend you're not jeff anything. You know, you're a great woman where we enjoy being around. You And so I stopped saying I'm just as girl and early on, and I just participated and and accepted and welcome.
Cynthia Zordich 00:17:25
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:17:35
The love that they showed me. And I they did a lot of charity events, and they always invited me to them. So I just went know, when I could when it wasn't interfering with work, because back then, I was like, a computer government sales
Cynthia Zordich 00:17:48
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:17:48
for a company in the Washington Dc area. So when I could... And then on weekends when they would invite me to a away gain parties, I would definitely go, you know, But I kinda pulled back a lot because I'm like, okay, Ashley, You know, you're girlfriend, doesn't know your role. You know, don't get too far out there, but he would always say you going to this. So Always got acceptance from him to go to within, you know, So that's kinda of probably why I got involved and started going.
Cynthia Zordich 00:18:09
Grief.
Ashley Brown 00:18:13
But they just early on, really accepted me And I always
once I got engaged, I always wanted to be
that one. I knew that I wanted to be that woman. That woman that always welcomed a new faith. That woman that always shared who the doctors were, Who the neo tech the hair dresses where to go to eat.
Connect someone with a baby fifth. I knew... I knew right from the jump that I wanted to be that first would because of the way I was treated coming in. Now everyone's experience isn't like that, but mine was so wonderful and
Cynthia Zordich 00:18:36
It's awesome.
Ashley Brown 00:18:49
it's did that way because I wanted to be that person. So even now to this day, if I meet someone, I met a few ladies that have been last and I just immediately wanted to connect them with someone that I knew would be,
Juliet Hahn 00:18:57
Oh
Ashley Brown 00:19:03
you know,
a mentor and and and and and a very you know, positive force in their life. So that's kinda... You know, I just wanted to be that girl that was always known to hook everyone up, you know, and just you could always come and if I didn't know the answer,
I was gonna find the answer out for you. So early on, it was a great experience for me of of course, I tell everyone. I went through all the stage. I was the the friend who hung out all the time, so I got to go to all the parties. Right?
Anybody had anything then I was the girlfriend, so, you know, I got to go to some things, then I became this fiance.
I was very limited.
Juliet Hahn 00:19:42
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:19:43
Then when I became the white, he couldn't go to anything. So
so I feel like I was through all those pages, but it was a it was a lot. You know, it was we had a great time. To wash an area.
Juliet Hahn 00:19:47
What?
It's
So wonderful. So I have a cynthia if you mind if I just jump in because I have a question because, again, I love. I love who is, you know, always on these these shows because there's oh, something that's very similar and it's all about your guys hearts. I mean, so do you think
Cynthia Zordich 00:19:57
No.
Ashley Brown 00:20:02
Okay.
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:20:08
that you were kind of born with welcoming people and opening it up or do you think because when you got into the league, even though you weren't, you know, you you guys were just friends and you weren't dating,
but people welcomed to you that you were like, I like this. I wanna walk some others. So, like, you know, what you think came first?
Ashley Brown 00:20:24
So I think I was welcome mean, I think I came from my my my mother just a quick side note. So on Christmas Eve every year, and I tried to do it for years when we live where we knew a lot of people
Juliet Hahn 00:20:26
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:20:35
we would have anywhere between, a hundred and fifty to two hundred people that would stop by our house because my mother made go and individual fruit cakes for everyone.
Juliet Hahn 00:20:41
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:20:44
And so she always welcomes
all the friends, everyone, my dad patience,
our high school, and you know, grade school, families, and anyone, all the organization she was involved in. I said my mother was a huge social light and saint Louis. So
you know, we we had tons of people in our house all the time. And so I believe that, you know, I kinda learned that I wanted to always be someone that you know, was always well. I mean, people always felt like they could come to me Or i was very easy to talk to. So I think I learned that early on, but just being treated that way. I think I was always the one who treated people, but for me to be treated that way coming into the Nfl where you here's so many
stories about, you know, women feeling isolated, and the guys have a come robbery in the locker where you have to find your niche I didn't have to find my vision in Washington, You know, it was there, and it and had blossom, then it blown into
Juliet Hahn 00:21:36
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:21:43
friends that, you know,
we've had forever, you know,
like... Another family,
Ryan Mentioned in the Washington dc, You know, they became our daughter's cough.
We just hosted their daughter's bridal shower and we're part of their daughters wedding. You know? So it just continues and I'm, you know, my Nfl family is... I love my biological family, but my Nfl family, like, that is... I am so thankful for that. That has gotten me through so many things in life and i'm... It just keeps growing. So I'm just excited about that part other too.
Juliet Hahn 00:22:16
Right. I think that's so special.
Cynthia Zordich 00:22:16
Exactly.
I think it's a great time to talk about,
Ashley Brown 00:22:18
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:22:20
you know, you had that going on with in Washington,
and you had that small group of women that were uplifting each other. And I think this is an excellent time to talk about
the idea of make
expanding that and, you know, being a cofounder of off the field and I just think that that story in itself of you all coming together, the founders. I really like to name all of the founders and just really talk about how you guys came to that conclusion
to go out into the communities impact and also create that network that expanded out into the other teams.
Ashley Brown 00:22:56
Yes. So we used to go to
Hawaii.
You know? I know everyone's sad for us. We used to go to hawaii every year to Maui.
The grand
had for the Nfl players Association convention,
And when we would come there, we sit around and have powerhouse and brainstorm about how we could all give together
to give back to the community collectively.
A lot of us would go to Super bowls. And, you know, Sherry Brown, we would go to Super Bowls and follow our husband's around because they had appearances
they had events to a attend, and we would going, we would maybe get together and do a few things.
Attend another event together, but we just felt like at a at a big stage like that. We should be able to come together and do something to give back.
So geese and a really good girlfriend of hers. Angela the hour, you know, decided to, you know, wanted to put together this fashion show. And be and it started out as a gospel brunch and team.
And we modeled clothes from a designer out of the bay area.
But the initial thing, we started saying we wanted to form in order.
So in the beginning, the fashion show with through another five o one c3 three, but we would go back to hawaii every year and talk about how can we create a organization? What should we do? And so we kept talking about it every year, And there was a lot of ladies that were all on board. But we somehow just couldn't ever pull the trigger for years. You know? And this conversation
started, I started going to a wife
in nineteen ninety five, the... You know, so these conversations
Juliet Hahn 00:24:29
Wow.
Ashley Brown 00:24:30
started back then. Right?
And they were amazing
conversations
about, you know, to start forming organization.
But, again, we were engulfed in football, you know, I was newly getting ready to be married, You know, we go and Football, and we just didn't pull the trigger. So when we went back to Washington,
I believe,
we went back there in two thousand
three,
I started, you know, getting really the itch. Let's get this going. We were already doing fast shows, but we did not have our organization.
And so
Jordan introduced me to one of her friends that she went to Chapel with who was part of a law firm in the Dc area.
And I started meeting with him them on a daily basis
just to start talking about
getting organization incorporated.
So we worked on that. We were a by. We did everything for, you know, day in day. I would drop my kids to school and here's the Dc for several hours, several days a week.
And I would, you know, refer back to the ladies and say this is when we come up with so far. So that's how only kinda got going, and we were in the Dc area. So we wrote up everything. We became incorporated, then we got a five zero one c3 three
And that's kind of the history of it. There were so many women
instrumental in
I feel a founder but filled a founder member
they each gave a certain contribution
so that we could really get the organization up and running. You know? So there was a couple of key ladies that were instrumental in certain parts of it in the beginning, but there was a huge group of women that were supporting it and didn't asked any questions, and mostly a were our friends we went to him and set, hey. I need a thousand dollars,
you know, whatever you can get me, And it just said sure. You know? So it was easier to ask for a thousand and to ask one of two people for ten thousand, you know, to get an organization cool going So it was great in that aspect you know, I just went to my husband and said, hey, I've never asked for chunk of money. You know? I wanna get a chunk of money because we need a deposit for this lawyer, you know? And basically wanted to get the organization going and just decided I'm in the Dc area. Let's just pull the trigger because we were also involved in our own personal lives.
Cynthia Zordich 00:26:25
Oh.
Juliet Hahn 00:26:26
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:26:48
And raising our kids and it was hard to to just get someone to do it. So finally, after I asked, you know, for a couple of resources,
I even reached out to the Nba wise.
And at that time, it was Joy Johnson and she reach Jordan,
who were really part of the organization, and they really helped me get the
get the organization up and running.
Juliet Hahn 00:27:09
I love that. I love that. And I think it's so special. I mean, I know I've i've heard you guys talk about this so much, and you can, you know, what we talk about on those podcast is a lot when you can feel someone's passion and excitement. And you you you even realize and I'm sure you re told the story, thousands of times. You can just feel what it means to you. And I know, you know, through sitting here with you cynthia and all these women that we've have up it is such a special
Ashley Brown 00:27:10
Yeah.
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:27:33
thing, and that's women are so powerful. When women get together,
Ashley Brown 00:27:37
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:27:39
we can make things happen. When we put our mind together, we can make things happen. And so the fact that you guys have been doing this since two thousand and six. And what twenty two years, this is gonna be the twenty second year for the fashion show.
Ashley Brown 00:27:41
Yes.
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:27:52
And the fact that people like myself, I just learned about this, and I'm a huge sports fan I never knew anything about it. And when I tell people about it, they're like, wait... What's... I need to know more about this This is incredible. I mean, James in the in the audience, I think at one time, had asked, you know, it can women be, you know, can then be a part of it. And it was interesting because what Cynthia said is, you know, if this is... We formed this as lives. But, yeah, we we are here to bring this community together and and to uplift people and and the service, you guys are all about service service server service.
Ashley Brown 00:27:56
Right.
Yeah.
Yeah
Yeah.
We are
Juliet Hahn 00:28:24
And it is wonderful and beautiful and every person that I've talked to. I said to Cynthia it just... It warms my heart every time I get off of, you know, one of these shows,
because you guys do so much behind the scenes and you're so humble about it. You really don't even like talk about it, and it just it it it just blows my mind every single time. So I I think it's just such an amazing
Ashley Brown 00:28:38
Yeah.
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:28:45
organization. And,
you know, can you share with us? Like, what your most excited about as this grows.
You know, if you have a vision, if there's something that you can share, like, as this can continue to grow in forty years. Where do you see? You know, off the field?
Ashley Brown 00:29:00
Yeah.
Yeah. You know what? I just... I like to see off the field of course, making it a difference in communities, but I also,
like, our
our community to just build within our wives, I like our wives to just
to us to be the premier organization that you go to for anything in a fairly later or any really anything family related, you know, are are are related to
just the different services. You know, I want to be that one stop shop. You know, that's what I would like to see off the field be. But I think what's really most important
for me personally, I do love. There there is power in numbers
but just the fact that feel good that
when I help someone or when I talk to someone that no one knows about, like you said, not a lot of people
worldwide know about the organization, and that will come. I I'm confident that's gonna come.
Juliet Hahn 00:29:53
Oh, yeah. Definitely well.
Ashley Brown 00:29:54
But just the fact that the women that I know that I can talk to offline
that call me if they have a wife on a team that needs something. They think of me... They think of me to call, you know? And that just warms my heart to know that
we do make a difference, whether or not it's in the forefront that you see it, we are definitely making a difference in our community, And we are definitely
Juliet Hahn 00:30:14
Yes.
Ashley Brown 00:30:16
you know, we're
no nonsense. You know? I I think that we're very
educated
diverse,
talented
just stand up women that want to really make a difference in each other's lives. We wanna build each other up. We wanna create leadership
opportunities for each other, and we really want everyone to get involved and see that we're doing great things that you wanna get involved. You know?
It's a great time to to get involved with our organization because
we have so many wonderful things going on. We've partnered with some great group we have a huge event coming up in February that we're gonna to have a lot of events
leading up to it that are gonna be fun.
You'll be able to get some great gifts.
And, you know, I think it's just the the Tom,
You like, the stories that we're able to say to each other that it's, like, been there done that. You know, it's not any judgment,
which is wonderful for me. You know? I know I can sit down When I went my in sisters, even if it's were two days, I'm recharge when I leave them. You know, I just feel like, I'm rejuvenate and I can go take on the world, and I can go they will... Just be with them two days will give me a booze for six months.
Juliet Hahn 00:31:19
Mhmm.
Right. Right.
Ashley Brown 00:31:30
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:31:30
I love it. Yeah. And
Ashley Brown 00:31:31
Yeah. So just passionate it, you know, just passionate it about the women.
Cynthia Zordich 00:31:33
exactly.
Juliet Hahn 00:31:35
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:31:35
And the work, you know, that's what I love the most. It's like, yes. There are... There's
fantastic event coming in February with a fashion show. And, yes, there are events leading up to it. But all of those of events,
Ashley Brown 00:31:43
Yes.
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:31:49
while they're fun and their fashion, and we are together and it is bringing us like this sister hut. We're making a serious impact off the field isn't just walking on the runway.
We're leaving like, a footprint in every community that we enter by donating
Ashley Brown 00:32:01
You.
Cynthia Zordich 00:32:07
serious dollars to their foundations of toys to their charities
Ashley Brown 00:32:08
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:32:10
and really just getting out this so... Isn't that just so exciting, Ashley like, when you think about that, like,
Ashley Brown 00:32:11
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:32:15
leaving it leaving a city and leaving a check that really changes the lives as so many people.
Ashley Brown 00:32:15
Oh my gosh. Yeah.
It is. It's very exciting and, you know, and that's what we strive to do. You know, That's that's why, you know, I love this organization that we just have women have just such giving hearts. And, you know, you can ask that the last minute the show up airport charity event are you know, to to come out and do something hard to give back and they're they're board. You know, whatever they can do. They, you know, they really try to show up. And I always think we show up we show out. So it's a... It's a great... You know, it's a great group of women,
Cynthia Zordich 00:32:46
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:32:47
Love that.
Ashley Brown 00:32:50
and I just love our passion about giving back
Cynthia Zordich 00:32:54
Exactly.
Juliet Hahn 00:32:54
And, you know, I have to say James in the audience who, by the way, is from Scotland,
said he found out about the organization because of the show. And that's what he said, Just keep doing the show because the more and more we do and talk about off, you know, off the field, it the more people hear about it. I mean, he talks about it over, you know, now Scotland because he's guess what... The nfl women are doing.
Ashley Brown 00:32:58
Oh, wow.
Yes.
Wow.
Cynthia Zordich 00:33:13
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:33:13
Thanks, Jane.
Juliet Hahn 00:33:15
Yeah. He's got he has a podcast, that he talks about Nfl, but it's so it's so cool. That he, you know, he didn't even know about it, and he does the show on Van nfl, but then he was like, wait. What is this? So it is. It's just talking about it in word a mouth, and the more and more that you guys do and put out the more and more people. It's one person at a time that that's gonna talk about it and share.
Cynthia Zordich 00:33:15
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:33:31
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:33:35
Fact. I I always like to say that
Ashley Brown 00:33:35
Yes. Oh, so true.
Cynthia Zordich 00:33:37
Nfl women,
like where... Like, the scene And I always feel like, you know, we hold it all together so many times in different aspects of our lives, and especially during the game. And it's just something that you never see. Like, Julia, you keep saying. I didn't know about it. Nobody knows about it, but it... But we're there and it's happening and it's like kind like a quiet strength. And but... But it is important to let, especially the young
Ashley Brown 00:33:41
You.
Juliet Hahn 00:33:41
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:33:56
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:33:57
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:34:01
nfl women know that we're here and that they should be a part of it because we... You know, we will help guide them off the field is there for them to answer any questions they have. And then also, actually, you know, you should talk about hall fame health because you're very involved in same health and bringing that to. Because, you know, Ashley is had of all sponsorship
Ashley Brown 00:34:02
Yes.
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:34:19
for
the fashion show. And with that, it leads to other type of partnerships that kind of lasts throughout the year. So I really think that it be great if you talked about that. Partnership.
Ashley Brown 00:34:22
Yes.
Yes. So so our murder should with Hall Health, all the same helpless was created,
and it was brought about by Hall of fame.
Who were
really wanting more for their families as far as health care goes.
And the
they didn't... You... If you go out into the marketplace of what have you, you can get the premiums art find different health care, but it's not the
rolls royce health that you're used to having when you're a part of the Nfl, and that your families used to having. So they created a team
with hall of Fame health and a partnership
that is being offered to our families and our extended families
where, you know, if you don't have health care through your job or or through any other source,
they will help you find a premium and it's already already a network in place,
and you can actually reach out to them. They will help you find really great health care. For yourself and your family
with no
stipulation. Like, a lot of times, we can't find health care because of
preexisting conditions that a husband may have or someone else. Well, they have doctors and network that are willing to accept us
with those
freeze preexisting conditions that our husbands may have, and except... And give us great pricing
for our health care. And then there's also other programs as a financial fund where people that can't afford certain surgeries.
Now there are a lot of things that the Nfl does offer but there mostly things for the x place. You know?
So this is a extension that gives the family something to look forward to as well. And we're just starting this partnership,
and we're doing lunch and learns in certain cities. We've had them in Dallas in Houston, And the next one will be November tenth. And Phoenix Arizona.
So we're looking forward to that and we're looking forward to building a relationship
with them in the different cities. They partner with different health care systems in the different cities. So whatever city you live in,
there's a health care system that they partner with that you can you're you... Once you
you know, go through that network and sign up for the different health care, you're able to use all the docs in that health care system.
So it's just another added layer for us. A lot of people have a health reimbursement plan that they can use when they're premiums, but this just gives a better... You you just have access to more doctors and are not limited.
To different health care systems through the
through the government health care. So it's pretty, pretty interesting
relationship that we were brought. Buys couple of our hall of Fame wise, and it's and... You know, we're excited to get the relationship going and to build on it.
Cynthia Zordich 00:37:16
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:37:16
Yeah. So and I just really quickly because there might be, like, you know, young spouses or people in the Nfl the community that are like, wait. I wanna get involved with this. How do I get involved? So if you guys look at the school that's going through, is it the best way for them to go to off the field,
wives,
Nfl wives, on Instagram, and then there's the link tree, and then also, they can follow you and learn more about it. And
and Ashley
Instagram is there as well. Is that the best place you ladies think that people should...
Ashley Brown 00:37:42
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:37:43
I would think so. Yes. I think so. Definitely.
Juliet Hahn 00:37:45
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:37:45
Yeah. I would think so. I would think so. And the hall of fame health is more so, like, mean you're in the, you have insurance. You know, you have everything. But... Hey, you never know. You're in the league one day.
Cynthia Zordich 00:37:46
Right.
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:37:52
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:37:55
You can be out that, you know. So I mean, we have, you know, retirement is not
in our in our business, you're not old and retirement. You know? I have some friends that just retired in their twenty eight, you know, from the Nfl. So it just depends on your career where you are in life, what have you. So it's always great. That's what I say, you know, people said some of the information we give is geared to our retire. Some is geared toward everyone,
Juliet Hahn 00:38:04
Right.
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:38:07
Mhmm.
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:38:21
but it's great information because you always
Cynthia Zordich 00:38:23
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:38:24
come back and say, wait. Three years ago, I heard about this program. Now I'm eligible for it. Let me go and find that information. You know? Or let me call look at off the field and see if I can, you know, find out more about that. So it's just always great to put everything out there no matter if it's the current players retired players, you may have a friend that will be benefit from the information that we're giving. You know? So I like... I like the fact that we put it all out there for current live.
Cynthia Zordich 00:38:28
Right.
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:38:45
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:38:52
Rhetorical why
anyone so that, you know, the information is there, and it's just, you know, they're... For the taking. So I enjoy that.
Cynthia Zordich 00:38:57
Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:39:00
Yeah. And so rights so these lunches,
Cynthia Zordich 00:39:00
Exactly.
Juliet Hahn 00:39:03
so someone could get involved by going, but they would just have to look through here, you know, if they were in that city when you said that. So that they would just go to off the field. Okay.
Ashley Brown 00:39:10
Yes.
Yes. So we'll be posting about the lunch on our website. So if there's local Arizona ladies that would like come into the lunch is just... In... For the lunch, we'll have
professional doctors that will that will share
on different topics. So those topics that we choose that we think the ladies would love to know about. And that's what be... That's what will happen at the legend.
Cynthia Zordich 00:39:27
Mhmm
Ashley Brown 00:39:34
There will be some great topics that they're gonna share on. A lot of them will deal with women's cells.
I think we have a one of the topics this stressed and the holidays
Oh so that's gonna be a great, you know, how to deal with your youth and sports, you know?
Juliet Hahn 00:39:43
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:39:46
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:39:49
So we have a lot of topics, and we kinda put out a little questionnaire to ask ladies what they wanna hear about,
and then we go to the docs tell them, you know, so they cater the lunch and learn so the topics that we'd like to hear about.
Juliet Hahn 00:40:02
Oh, that's great.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:02
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:40:03
So it'll be great so... So they have... The legend learn is definitely for everyone.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:08
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:40:08
So we'll have information about it on our website, and then we'll also send it out
to all our email blast, for so that all our ladies in the area will be able to know more about it.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:20
Exactly. Yeah. It's on... The thing that's really great about it is that
each lunch to learn will be exclusive for that city and the interests of the women in that city. And also, it invites women in the Nfl, that are doing things in that city to participate. You know, if you, you know, have a a boutique or a brand or if you've written a book or if you actually are, you know,
Ashley Brown 00:40:28
Mhmm.
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:40:36
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:40:36
Yes.
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:43
in the medical field yourself, you know, and you wanna share information,
it's really going to be explosive rate city, and I know Tasha and I are going be hosting one in the spring and Pittsburgh with.
Ashley Brown 00:40:53
Oh, why.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:54
So that'll be completely different than Arizona,
Ashley Brown 00:40:55
Okay.
Cynthia Zordich 00:40:57
but and the topics aren't just hall fame health. It's really a house, you know, in wellness and anything that is that we wanna talk about. So that's why the partnerships sits wonderful because it really is just like an empowerment lunch,
Ashley Brown 00:41:02
Oh, yeah. Definitely.
Cynthia Zordich 00:41:09
and it is created for growth and networking, and I think it will be really helpful
Ashley Brown 00:41:09
It is.
Cynthia Zordich 00:41:14
in being that resource and bringing in those
younger girls in each of those team cities. So if you are in the Nfl, and you are in a team city that you think you'd like to see a lunch and learn, you know, you could, you know, either be Ashley or Dm off the field. Let us know. That you have some ideas and, you know, because that's what they're always asking us to. Like, where where can we go? Where do you wanna go? Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:41:29
Yes.
Yes.
Yes. They eventually we'll hit off thirty two, hopefully.
Cynthia Zordich 00:41:41
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:41:42
Yeah. That's awesome. And that's the other thing. I mean, some... You someone might be listening to this and saying, oh, I'm not a part of the Nfl. So I I don't... You know, that it's not, you know, a part of me. But you don't know if your neighbor or your neighbor's uncle, someone, you know, through... What is it the the the a separation?
Cynthia Zordich 00:41:42
Exactly.
Ashley Brown 00:41:42
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:41:57
There might be someone that you actually know that you're like, oh, wait. I need to let them know about this because I just heard this, you know, wine this live with Then nfl thread on Fireside, And that's what's so cool about being able to share.
Ashley Brown 00:41:57
Mhmm.
Cynthia Zordich 00:41:57
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:42:03
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:42:06
Yeah.
Exactly.
Ashley Brown 00:42:09
Yes. Awesome.
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:42:11
But, actually, you're a part of so many groups. So we can either talk about
the kids and this whole new being... You know, with trading at Duke and being in that element,
Ashley Brown 00:42:21
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:42:23
which I think is so great, and I'm definitely gonna talk to you or we can talk about beauty counter. Which would you like to talk about first?
Ashley Brown 00:42:25
Yeah.
We could go the kid route first. That's that's that's that's
That's been fun, You know,
having a college athlete,
student Athlete has been has been a lot of fun a lot of traveling and I think I traveled more in the past two months, then I did my entire Nfl career.
With my husband's and topic, you see I just said my entire minute Velcro career Right?
Cynthia Zordich 00:42:51
Right. Yes. It is.
Ashley Brown 00:42:52
Because I feel like it was our it was our career. Right?
Juliet Hahn 00:42:53
Yes.
Ashley Brown 00:42:56
But it's been a blessing
The Duke Football family has been a
huge huge
blessing in our life. We've met some great families
But, you know, my son had a injury.
He's a second year student that Duke.
He's a, you know, plays football deep defense
had an injury back in the spring so he towards shoulder in four places and So, he's coming off of my injury, red freshman year, but then coming off of the injury. So he to see some action in a couple of games that the first game, the funny story is the first game that he
Juliet Hahn 00:43:20
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:43:32
was going to play in. He found out on a Thursday.
He said, hey, I've been getting a lot of snaps on third down.
And specialty. I'm gonna play Saturday.
We were not going to that game.
We bought playing tickets last and they're ran I were in stands acting like we were like, so little kid
Juliet Hahn 00:43:50
Oh, i want that.
Ashley Brown 00:43:52
every time he went in the game and were like, he's said, he's been, you know, we video tapes it. We have people videos up from you know, saying he was in the game and it was just epic. It was just such a great feeling to see your kid playing his first college gain. You know?
So I know they'll will be plenty plenty more to come. He's getting stronger and healthier every day, but he's in a great environment. And he loves school, which is a plus. You know, if your kids have a a three seven at doom, you know, I'm I'm excited about that.
Cynthia Zordich 00:44:15
Mhmm.
Tell.
Juliet Hahn 00:44:20
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:44:21
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:44:22
And he has a good good group of friends there he's involved in some great organization,
blue devils for Christ and you know, that's one of the really big ones that you love
to participate with on the weekends when he's home on Sunday. So
it's just... It's just been a great experience. It's fun. And our daughter Miriam
lives in the Washington Dc area. She's the occupational therapist with the being hospital.
Cynthia Zordich 00:44:45
One.
Ashley Brown 00:44:45
In Dc, and she's only four hours away. So she gets the travel to a lot of games also. So was pretty cool that, you know, even though we live all the way in Arizona,
I see my kids a lot because of mobile season.
Juliet Hahn 00:44:58
That's awesome.
Ashley Brown 00:44:59
So...
Yeah, so it's a lot managing. How i truthful football on Friday nightmare here when I stay race high school football games,
Cynthia Zordich 00:45:00
It
So awesome.
Ashley Brown 00:45:07
which is a whole nother story.
In the mix. But these guys ties school football ball game go Friday. I usually take a red eye head dorm, and then back your on funding.
So
Juliet Hahn 00:45:18
Wow.
Cynthia Zordich 00:45:18
And I really wanted to you to share the
difference
physically
when you're sun is playing and out there as opposed to when you look back when you were watching Ray,
play.
Because I I know personally, there's a difference
Ashley Brown 00:45:33
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:45:35
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:45:35
Yeah.
Yeah. I see I think it is. I think, you know, I think I'm more I don't know when raised,
I I I love the game but when Raised, it was, you know, professionals towards, You know, Nfl,
I love the game of football, so I always said it was awesome for me to watch someone. I love, play a sport that I love. You know? So that was that was a big bonus and plus for me. But why it your son play like your baby? You know?
Cynthia Zordich 00:45:57
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:45:57
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:46:04
I don't and the because is on defense, he does the hit. You know? I mean, so it's a little different.
It just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside the see him follow his dreams.
Juliet Hahn 00:46:16
Yes.
Ashley Brown 00:46:16
And to... And and for attempting... Them to start coming to fruition, You know, like, back a long time ago, he wanted to play college ball. He wanted to play b one. He wanted to be at a power.
Well, he was able to do all of that. But now that he's there, I think it's just more so
he knows and he just loves the sport. I don't really believe even in think it matters if it's a D one or power five.
Now then he's in college,
he just loved the game. You know? So watching him being so passionate about something he loves
Cynthia Zordich 00:46:40
Mhmm
Ashley Brown 00:46:47
because he grew up around it. You know, I always tell you're different because you grew up in this game. You grew up and your dad gave you access. You're dad,
Juliet Hahn 00:46:52
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:46:53
Yeah.
Ashley Brown 00:46:56
your dad was a coach. The head coaches allowed you to have access.
You were able to come every sunday home gain and be there with your dad from
three hours before game time on the field before the game to being in there in the stands. You know? So you have a a a front seat you know, at what it's really like. You know? So I just really am excited about
Cynthia Zordich 00:47:15
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:47:18
seeing him live out his dreams. You know, right now in the moment, You know? And not... You know, people say, oh does we wanna play Pro. I don't know. You know, who's doesn't wanna a play bro if they're in, you know, college words. Right? But is that something that he's passionate about it? But would it crush you know,
Juliet Hahn 00:47:29
Right.
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:47:37
you know, he's been around it so I think then he has a little different perspective on it.
I know that he wants to be in the business.
You know, I know that he had aspirations and dreams to you know, when his really close friend,
one of his best friends passed away a brain cancer,
you know, when he found He couldn't play football anymore. They always said they were gonna own a thing
be a general manager of a team together. You know?
This really good friend Kobe Young. So you know, I think that he wants to be in sports, and I think he's setting itself up to being sports. And I think it's just great so just watch him thrive and grow and to grow up at do, you know, every time I go there, I see that he's grown up a little bit more.
Juliet Hahn 00:48:18
It's so special. And I... Simply, I love that you guys have that connection.
Ashley Brown 00:48:23
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:48:23
You know, that, you know, might go be playing as well.
I think it's just... It's it's such a cool thing to be able to say you know, I I was here too and some can kind of you guys can talk about that. The feeling. I have young kids and I mean, teenagers, but they all are athletics, you know,
athletes and they play in high school, and I know how excited I get women you, and they do have aspirations playing college and I can imagine because on the one you're jumping up and down in the bleach excited, High fine. People feel jumping off the bleach when something that happens,
Ashley Brown 00:48:41
Yeah.
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:48:51
and it's excited to watch someone that you
grew inside you,
you know, and then raise, do something that they love. And be happy and excited about it. I think it's just such you know, whether it's sports or whether whatever it is to to be able to be there and be around that and and seeing that they're doing them and they're good at it. And you're cited for them and you've seen the hard work that they put in is really a special thing, and I think it comes from
Cynthia Zordich 00:49:08
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:49:08
Yes.
Yeah.
Juliet Hahn 00:49:17
family atmosphere. I know you wanted me to jump in. I can see. I could see your face.
Ashley Brown 00:49:19
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:49:20
Well,
- I just think that there's such a huge lesson that you just shared there ashley that you know, not only an Nfl parents could appreciate, but parents in general
is just allowing and appreciating
that your child is in the moment and enjoying that moment and not worrying about the stats not worrying about where they're going after not worrying about if they're going pro. It's your son and not a prospect.
Juliet Hahn 00:49:36
Mhmm.
Right.
Cynthia Zordich 00:49:46
And I love the message there that you're enjoying it, whereas you see a lot of parents in this hands, they're scared, and they're nervous.
Ashley Brown 00:49:46
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:49:47
Oh, I love that.
Ashley Brown 00:49:53
My gosh.
Cynthia Zordich 00:49:53
And they're fearing
a mismatch or,
you know, a miss block because of the stats and because it's future, you know, And that's a really important lesson that you just shared there is just enjoying the moment. Letting him Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:49:58
Yes.
Juliet Hahn 00:50:01
Oh.
Ashley Brown 00:50:05
Yeah. Yeah. And I think when Ray was playing, I was nervous because I'm like, oh my goodness. We gotta win. You know, we don't win we could be out here. You know?
Juliet Hahn 00:50:12
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:50:12
Or, you know, you you're nervous, but I have so much fun at these college games, like, I'm standing up on the bleach. We're standing in over child.
We have a blast, and I I don't I don't know if I've ever... If I ever had that much fun in the nfl, like, you know, you... It was kind of a a certain persona that, you know, at gave. You know, you cheer.
Juliet Hahn 00:50:28
No. I love that.
Ashley Brown 00:50:34
But I get crazy guys. I mean, I I dress the part.
I have all my gear. You know, I don't think I wore much beer. I just kind of cute games and then I felt, you know,
Cynthia Zordich 00:50:45
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:50:45
But I am doomed down. You know, I even buying ten, got buy
shack that mat, you know, that have do blue in it. You know? I'm I'm doing the part. So... And I I enjoy.
Juliet Hahn 00:50:55
You're having fun.
Ashley Brown 00:50:57
Yes. And I've sit in the certain section where I know that those parents are gonna have just as much fun. We high five. We do everything.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:02
Love it.
Ashley Brown 00:51:03
We we we cheer together, and we spoke together. So it's just a great... It's just great bar. And I I didn't tell gain much in the Nfl. But I tell gay, we are there three hours our parent until game starts three hours before the game. And we're Ray and I, when he's able to come when I go all the time, but when he's able to come, we are some of the first parents at the tailgate.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:07
Mhmm.
Juliet Hahn 00:51:25
So fun. And I love cynthia that you that you picked up on that because it's so true and such an important thing to say, because you're right. It's me in the moment, be excited and be in the moment. And and love right and have fun. That's of life about so short.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:26
I love it.
Ashley Brown 00:51:26
So...
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:31
It's
Have fun.
Ashley Brown 00:51:35
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:36
Exactly.
Yep.
You have to talk to Tom didn't think that she was just cracking me up the other day. Talking about how she and Troy are just completely
Ashley Brown 00:51:38

Cynthia Zordich 00:51:44

Ashley Brown 00:51:45

Juliet Hahn 00:51:46

Ashley Brown 00:51:50
I don't either.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, I was so conservative. You know, I just wanna to have lot of Changing or and I'll fit at a football game, but now I'm all in. You know, and my model,
Juliet Hahn 00:51:53
It's so fun.
Cynthia Zordich 00:51:53

Ashley Brown 00:52:03
I have a really good brand well, She's what Of are my Lax sister my model now with football if I'm trying to make a decision on if I'm going to a game or if I should wear something I get in my in my game day mode, my motto is w e.

And that is Erica Last because she is my ultimate
ultimate football mom
Cynthia Zordich 00:52:26
See it is it
Ashley Brown 00:52:27

Cynthia Zordich 00:52:35
seriously.
Erica has, like, wings.
I think she has, like, wings herself because, you know, you just follow everything she does and she doesn't miss
Ashley Brown 00:52:39
Yes.
Yes.
Cynthia Zordich 00:52:46
any of them. I just don't even know how does it, but
Ashley Brown 00:52:47
No. She's there the moment. She's there for the moment. Or she's not there. She's gonna send someone for the moment.
Cynthia Zordich 00:52:49
right,
Ashley Brown 00:52:54
Yeah. And I love it. I love it. I'm sorry. It's it just warms my heart.
Cynthia Zordich 00:52:55
That is the truth. Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:52:57
And I...
And I love the excitement. I mean, I'm like, my face hurts right now because I'm smiling so hard because I'm so excited for for you to be in that moment for you to be, you know, like, that's the thing. Be excited for your your sister be excited for your friend that they get to experience this because this is what it's about. I love that. But I do... Because I know, you know, we don't wanna run an hour or two hours late, but I do wanna talk about the beauty counter stuff. First of all, I'm been using Beauty counter for years.
Ashley Brown 00:53:02
Right.
Right.

So probably maybe five or six year five five six years ago, and another nfl wife Mickey Hope she had her set up a little table at one of our conferences.
Cynthia Zordich 00:53:50
Oh.
Ashley Brown 00:53:58
And,
you know, kept walking by and she's but, you're not gonna warm past me. Ashley Brow without stopping. I'm like, look,
all these years, all I've used is, you know, both on my face and definitely.
That's it. I said it was... It is not broke, don't fix this. Right.
Juliet Hahn 00:54:15
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:54:15
And so I didn't wanna hear it. But Nick kept saying it's all natural product, You know, there's so many harmful harmful taxes in our products that we use every day.
Juliet Hahn 00:54:25
Mhmm.
Ashley Brown 00:54:25
You know, what we're all about our mission is to get clean and say beauty in the hands of everyone.
And I was like, alright, Mickey. You know, because she gave me some small bottles to take upstairs to try that night, and
I promise you after a day. I'm like, here's your bottle. Just time me. We're where can I get us there? But I need my promise, like, right away. I need stuff because I saw I overnight and everything. And I think I started out with just
a cleanser. I never use the cleanser, but just the way my Face
was so amazing.
And I never used, you know,
gasoline was it. Right?
So for years, I just
didn't tell anyone. People used to always say, oh, your endless was great Oh thanks. You know?

Juliet Hahn 00:55:16
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:55:20
You know, called me. You should become a consultant. And I was like, I don't know if I wanna do this, you know, so then I was like, well, I couldn't do it as a side hustle and, you know, being able to get the percentage y'all for the Beauty counter box. Right?
But then it got to the point where I love talking about clean b
I love sharing it with my friends and family.
And then with people, you would just need me on social media, like, you know, i you do clean beauty. I love to, you know, use the products You tell me more about it. You send me some samples. So that's kinda how It got started for me to become a consultant. It was doing the pans in

I I love our vitamin theorem. That is just like,
just going in a bottle, you know, the vitamin theorem, and I love.
Cynthia Zordich 00:56:08

you know, so I just love using the brothers. I love sharing about them. And I'm not a police salesman at all. I mean, I think anybody who would say that but I do enjoy talking about
clean beauty, and I love making a difference in trying to get the toxins. I love the fact that we're always on capitol hill, advocating for, you know, clean and safe beauty. I love that part of it,
Juliet Hahn 00:56:41
No.
Cynthia Zordich 00:56:41
Right.
Ashley Brown 00:56:43
but I just enjoy the products I that's all I use now. I only use... I love that. We have a flawless and five where if I'm running late, I know I can pull out my flawless and five, and I'm ready in five minutes. I have a made up faith in five minutes, and I've time myself several times that I can do it. Like, I didn't flawless five today. So I put on my my makeup and... I had five minutes, you know, to spare, and I was like, let me get to makeup on and put a little bit on, and I'm good to go, and I love the fact that I don't have to wear. You know, I just put a sunscreen on and put a little lip on and I feel good about the skin. I mean, and I feel like my skin
Juliet Hahn 00:56:57
Yeah.
Cynthia Zordich 00:57:00
I need that.
Ashley Brown 00:57:17
that there's not any toxins i feel like, my skin is clean, you know? And I just enjoy the product. So,
Juliet Hahn 00:57:21
